Permanent and Central Committee
The NIK is governed by the Permanent Committee and the Central Committee. The Central Committee consists of 9 members who are the representatives of the Jewish communities that are divided in five districts.
NIK’s secretary-general Ruben E. Vis is the executive to the committee. The board of the NIK is called ‘Permanent Committee’ although it functions, as the Central Committee, not on a permanent basis, but is being chosen from the Central Committee every four years. From its midst the Central Committee chose the following members to form the Permanent Committee or Board of the NIK.

The Jewish Seminary Binyan Ari’el is the training institute for rabbis, Jewish teachers and cantors. Besides that the seminary offers a wide array of classes to those interested in Jewish learning.
Also, NIK supports several youth and youngsters organizations, including Bnei Akiva (religious-zionist), Habonim (socialist-zionist), Hasjalsjelet (religious) and the students and youngsters organization Ijar.
NIK, as the oldest and largest Jewish representative organization for Jews in the Netherlands, stood at the basis of several organizations, has one or more boardseats in it or cooperates closely with these organizations.
